Debjani started her musical journey from the very early age of 8. By the grace of God from that time she rendered her songs wonderfully with her soulful and melodious voice and got several awards of excellence, like competition organized by Nehru Children Museum etc. She was selected as a child vocal artist in Television and All India Radio for a most popular program “Galpo Daadur Ashor”.
She started her classical learning under the guidance of Sri Nihar Ranjan Banerjee from Vishnupur Gharana. She learned semi classical, devotional and other songs from renowned singer teacher Srimati Shipra Bose. Later she took advanced training from Pandit Arun Bhaduri from “Sangeet Research Academy”. At present Debjani is exploring new subject Dhrupad – the root of Indian classical music under Pandit Nirmalya Dey the renowned master vocalist and teacher in the tradition of Dagarvani Dhrupad.
She did her senior gradation in” All India Radio”. She performed regularly vocal classical kheyal, semi classical songs and devotional songs/bhajans for 'All India Radio'. She completed her graduation in Vocal classical with first class distinction from” Rabindra Bharati University”. Creative work for media started in 2003 with quite a number of jingles and thereafter she has given her voice for various regional tele-films, serials and Bengali Feature Films.
